Cooking with Ree

Hopefully  you will enjoy this post-not much reading, but lots of pictures!

So I have posted a few recipes in the past, and I have talked about some that were handed down, and some that I have gotten from famous cooks, websites, or cookbooks.

Well, this post is completely devoted to cooking with Ree Drummond, aka “The Pioneer Woman”. If you don’t know who she is, you must either be living under a rock, or you simply don’t care about cooking. I suggest you turn on FoodNetwork, or start familiarizing yourself by getting her first cookbook, “The Pioneer Woman Cooks, Recipes From An Accidental Country Girl”.

The point of this post, is to let you know that I have enjoyed every single recipe that I have made from any of Ree’s three cookbooks! That’s right: I have not tried a single recipe of hers that wasn’t delicious! My husband loves them, my son loves them, my friends and family love them. My daughter, who is married, has her cookbooks too. So I’m pretty sure she loves them.

These cookbooks make an excellent gift for any cook on your list. Here are her next two:

Okay, okay, I’ll stop here. But trust me, there are many more where those came from! You can find all of these recipes in her cookbooks. And some also on the Foodnetwork website.

Remember, if you need to buy a Wedding present, or College Graduation present, Mothers Day, or Birthdaypresent, there are tons of cookbooks out there. Trust me, I know. I own about forty! But you simply cannot go wrong with a cookbook from The Pioneer Woman!

  1. Oh my, you can put that berry butter on pancakes, muffins, toast – anything you’d like a little sweet, buttery goodness on! I wonder how it would be on a nice juicy steak too?! But I’m weird like that. Guess it would depend on how you seasoned the steak too. I don’t know, what do YOU like it on Anna? Inquiring minds are dying to know! And I have all of these cookbooks by Ree and love them. They do make awesome gifts…that’s how I acquired all of mine thanks to my mama!
