Catchy, right? I thought you might enjoy a slide show recap of my week in Savannah. It’s back to the real world for me!

Life’s A Beach

I love the Brad Paisley song, Working On A Tan. And I must say, I was a little disappointed that he didn’t sing it when my husband and I went to his concert before I left for Savannah. But, that’s another story. I think I like this song because its upbeat, and it’s about going to the beach, which I love. (It’s also on my running playlist)

Tuesday, we spent a few hours, which is more than enough, at Tybee Island. It’s only about thirty minutes from my daughter’s house, making it über convenient. The drive over is worth the trip simply for the views. And this is a great time to go because the weather is perfect and kids are still in school; meaning vacationing families have not taken over the island.

Anyway, to keep this post short and sweet, we had a great day, got a slight burn even after applying sunscreen, and plan on returning!

Savannah Bound, & Surprise!

Well I made it to my daughter’s in Savannah. But first I encountered a nice surprise. As my sister and I were readying to board our plane from home, we looked up and spotted a friend who was boarding the same plane! We had a great time catching up! What a nice surprise.image

After getting up at 4:00 am to take my daughter and son-in-law to the airport, I managed to get a run in at the park. I meant to take a picture, but of course I was hot and sweaty and forgot. My sister did take a picture of me running though. Of my best side!

One of today’s highlights was our trip downtown to The Coffee Fox, a new establishment of my favorite kind. Yum-O
